Moment NYC and Groove Collective visit the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery 10/13/16

Moment NYC is proud to play a part in bringing the New York City band Groove Collective to The Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington DC for a free concert in connection with their exhibit In the Groove: Jazz Portraits by Herman Leonard.The works in the exhibition are a selection of black and white photographs of jazz greats taken by Herman Leonard who was a photographer and jazz enthusiast. Leonard captured Thelonious Monk, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, Louis Armstrong and other greats performing live. The evening will be filled with great photographs, tours of the exhibition as well as art activities in our indoor courtyard where folks will be able to enjoy great music and drinks from 6:30-8:00pm. Thursday October 13 from 6:30-8pm
